WordPress has recently released its latest update: WordPress 4.8 version (name: “Evans”, in honour of jazz pianist and composer William John “Bill” Evans). According to WordPress.org, the new version of WordPress features:
- Exciting Widget Updates: it’s much easier now to add image, video, and audio to widgets with WordPress 4.8. For example, simply insert your image within the widget settings and you’re done! No plugins required!
- WordPress Events and News Dashboard: this feature displays WordPress news as well as WordPress events near your location
- More Accessible Admin Panel Headings
- Multisite Updates
- and much more
To update, log in to your WordPress dashboard and the update button is listed on top of the browser. To learn more about the update, please read this blog post from WordPress.org
