WordPress has recently rolled out a security and maintenance release: WordPress 4.8.2. This release contains 9 security and 6 maintenance fixes, such as:
- enhancement made to prevent plugins and themes from accidentally causing a vulnerability
- numbers of fixes on cross-site scripting vulnerabilities
We strongly encourage all users to log into their sites to check if an update is required. Depending on the existing version of WordPress you have, your WordPress may have been automatically updated.
